Job summary

Aramark is seeking an Environmental Services Worker for Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL. This role helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors.

The EVS Worker performs custodial tasks across assigned areas, complies with OSHA and client requirements, and supports infection control and sanitation procedures. The position is a one-year assignment with 2nd shift and both Full-Time and Part-Time options.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including OSHA and Aramark regulations.
• Performs cleaning and sanitizing of patient/resident rooms including vacuuming, dusting, bed making, stripping, and waste removal; cleans restrooms per infection control procedures.
• Maintains and cleans housekeeping equipment.
• Cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements.
• Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas.
• Reports maintenance concerns via work orders to appropriate personnel.
• Maintains friendly, efficient customer service toward customers, clients, patients, and coworkers.
• Secures the facility and manages building access.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
