Job summary

Aramark in Glenview, IL is seeking an Environmental Services Worker Lead to provide hands-on leadership in Aramark Facility Services during events and to perform frontline cleaning duties. This full-time, second-shift role requires availability for rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in environmental services.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to perform elementary math functions.
• Ability to work well under time constraints.
• Basic knowledge of infection control procedures and universal precautions.
• Maintain a friendly and efficient service attitude towards customers, co-workers, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Assists management and supervisors at beginning and end of shift with sign-in, supplies, equipment sign out and sign in.
• Assist shift operation in the preparation and delivery of supplies necessary to help ensure all employees' needs are met.
• May need to perform overall assessment of public restrooms and on-call rooms.
• Adheres to all departmental sanitation procedures.
• Report all employee issues (safety, injuries, and disciplinary).
• Supervises all staff assignments to ensure efficient and high-quality cleaning services.
• Responsible for formulating action plans to correct inefficiencies and quality discrepancies.
• Assists in employee training, coaching, and motivation.
• Maintains an accurate record keeping system for quality control systems.
• Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment.
• Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state, and federal government regulations.
• Maintains compliance with Aramark's standards of operation and client contract.
• Maintains all records and reports necessary to comply with Aramark, government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes.
