Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain patient rooms and hospital areas clean and sanitized, protecting patients and staff from infectious risks. Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, dusting, and restocking supplies, with strict adherence to biohazard disposal procedures.

The role requires operating and maintaining EVS tools and equipment, ensuring a safe, spotless environment for patients and visitors across the facility.

Qualifications

• None, upon hire.
• Preferred: High School Graduate General Studies and Previous healthcare experience., upon hire.
• Preferred: High School GED General Studies and Previous healthcare experience., upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for completing as assigned, daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and other common areas.
• Maintains cleaning cart(s), supplies, and equipment, as outlined in the Standard Work cart set up.
• Practices critical thinking skills. Demonstrates personal accountability. Identify and utilize appropriate resources to ensure identified problems or concerns are followed through and resolved. Demonstrates knowledge of facility safety requirements.
• Demonstrates the ability to operate and properly maintain all EVS tools and equipment needed to clean and disinfect the environment.
