Job summary

CommonSpirit Memorial is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to keep patient rooms and hospital areas clean and sanitized, protecting patients and staff from infections. You will perform routine sweeping, mopping, dusting, and restocking supplies while adhering to biohazard disposal procedures.

You'll maintain carts and equipment, follow infection prevention practices, and contribute to safety and comfort across the facility.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform cleaning tasks safely and in line with infection-control guidelines.
• Adhere to safety policies while using cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to maintain a sanitary environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily patient room cleaning and disinfection of care areas and equipment.
• Maintain cleaning carts and manage waste streams per procedure and regulation.
• Follow infection prevention practices and proper use of PPE.
• Operate and maintain EVS tools; assist with facility tasks as needed.
