Job summary

PIH Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain high cleanliness standards across facilities. Responsibilities include floor care, dust mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, stripping, buffing, shampooing, spill removal, and damp washing of surfaces.

The role also covers cleaning light fixtures, ceilings, walls, and handling trash and linen disposal. The ideal candidate will have English literacy, ability to perform physical tasks, and at least one year in healthcare cleaning

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to continuously stand, bend, stoop, walk, reach, climb, push and lift heavy objects.
• At least one year of previous environmental services experience in a health care facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care, dust mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, stripping and buffing.
• Shampooing and spill removal; damp washing of counters, desks, ledges.
• Clean light fixtures, ceilings and walls using ladders or step stools.
• Clean occupied patient areas and assist with dismissals; manage curtains and drapes.
• Maintain and clean environmental tools and equipment.
• Trash and soiled linen removal.
