PIH Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to support its Downey, California facilities. The role focuses on delivering high-quality cleaning across patient areas, corridors and common spaces using a range of environmental equipment and approved procedures.

The technician will perform floor care, dust mopping, scrubbing, stripping, buffing, shampooing, spill removal and damp washing of counters, telephones and desks.

The Environmental Services Technician performs a variety of cleaning tasks under general direction. In order to achieve the highest cleaning standards possible the Environmental Services Technician performs floor care, dust mopping sweeping outside areas, scrubbing, stripping, and buffing, shampooing and spill removal. Damp washing of counters, telephones, desks, ledges, etc. Washing light fixtures, ceiling, and walls involves use of ladders or step stools. Trash and soiled linen removal. Isolation room cleaning as prescribed in written procedures. Changing of cubical curtains and drapes. Cleaning and maintaining of environmental tools and equipment. Cleaning of occupied patient areas and dismissals. Cleaning other related duties as assigned to ensure the highest quality of service throughout the facility.
