Job summary

Munson Healthcare is seeking an Environmental Services associate to maintain a clean, safe patient environment. This role focuses on infection prevention, disinfection, and supporting a high standard of care across our facilities.

You will perform general cleaning, prepare patient rooms, handle waste and linen, and operate EVS equipment while following safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and at least 6 months in hospital housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months of hospital environmental service/housekeeping experience.

Responsibilities

• Standing and walking much of the day; may require bending, stretching, climbing ladders, lifting, pulling and pushing.
• Wears gloves, goggles, face shield, gown, mask, and hardhat as required by safety guidelines.
• Disinfect/clean assigned areas per Environmental Services procedures.
• Prepare patient rooms for new admissions by staging the room nicely.
• Maintain cleaning carts, supplies and equipment in neat order.
• Remove trash, recycling, and Confidential (HIPAA) information; replace sharps containers.
• Transport furniture, equipment, clean linen and supplies.
• Operate and maintain EVS tools and equipment.
