Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services/Custodial Manager 2 for Adventist Health in Bakersfield, California. This hands-on leadership role oversees daily EVS operations and leads a frontline team within a 254-bed acute care hospital.

The ideal candidate will have prior hospital environmental services management experience and a proven ability to drive operational excellence. This is primarily a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to work weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading environmental services or custodial teams in a hospital or fast-paced setting.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory standards in facilities operations.
• Proven ability to schedule, train, and support daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee frontline EVS teams to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
• Schedule, train, and support daily EVS operations in a hospital setting.
• Lead performance evaluations, pay reviews, and hire/fire decisions.
• Influence and partner with other hospital departments to optimize resource use.
