Job summary

Southern Illinois Healthcare is seeking an Environmental Services professional responsible for cleaning and servicing hospital building areas, including patient care spaces and equipment, to maintain a neat, orderly and sanitary environment in Harrisburg area facilities.

The role serves as back up to the Environmental Services Manager, conducts rounds on assigned areas, trains staff, and prepares daily assignments while upholding high cleanliness standards across the department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans public and/or patient care areas.
• Cleans equipment and reports repairs.
• Collects and distributes soiled or clean linen
• Lead: Serves as back up for Environmental Services Manager or Supervisor.
• Lead: Round on assigned areas.
• Lead: Instruct and train employees.
• Lead: Prepare daily assignments.
• Lead: Performs environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition.
