Job summary

Spaulding Hospital Cambridge Environmental Services role within Mass General Brigham. Responsible for cleaning patient rooms, floors, offices, and common areas following infection prevention standards. Performs high-level cleaning in clinical areas without direct supervision.

Works with multiple departments to meet patient and department priorities for safe outcomes. Uses PPE and hospital-approved chemicals, handles waste types, and maintains sanitation and hand hygiene.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in hospital cleaning environments (2–3 years).
• Knowledge of infection prevention standards.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects patient rooms, floors, offices, conference rooms, equipment, furniture, common areas, and waiting rooms following hospital-approved infection prevention standards.
• Performs high level cleaning in specialized areas such as clinical areas, surgical suites, cath lab, specialty rooms, and sterile areas without direct supervision.
• Serves as a resource for internal department team members on environmental services matters.
• Collaborates with multiple departments to ensure patient and department priorities are met for safe outcomes.
