Job summary

IU Health Methodist Hospital is seeking Environmental Services staff to ensure a clean, safe environment by cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting patient rooms, offices, clinics, and public spaces in line with infection control standards.

You will remove hazardous waste, support patient safety and care delivery, and collaborate with clinical teams to maintain high cleanliness in high-acuity areas such as IR, OR, ED, NICU, and Mother-Baby.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Ability to wear PPE and meet physical demands (standing, lifting up to 35 pounds or more).
• Ability to operate light cleaning equipment and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect patient rooms, offices, clinics, and public spaces.
• Safely remove hazardous waste and support infection control.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to maintain patient safety and care flow.
