Job summary

Universal Health Services in Spokane, WA is seeking an Environmental Services Worker to maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, clinical areas, offices, and public spaces under supervision. You will be expected to be pleasant, respectful, and a positive hospital representative while performing routine cleaning tasks.

The role requires at least one year of commercial housekeeping experience and a High School Diploma or GED; preferred candidates have healthcare environment experience.

Qualifications

• At least one year working in commercial housekeeping.
• Proof of High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks of patient rooms, offices and public areas.
• Ensure adequate linens are kept in facility.
• Clean areas with disinfectants.
• Refill supplies (paper products, soap, etc.).
• Vacuum, dust, mop, sweep and take out trash.
• Dispose of infectious/contaminated waste from the facility.
• Comply with infection control, OSHA regulations, and safety/risk management policies.
• Operate power floor care equipment safely and observe lockout/tagout procedures.
• Support facility-wide quality/performance improvement goals.
