Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Follows infection control practices including hand washing, standard precautions and isolation precautions.
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets as they relate to chemicals and their uses after annual training on MSDS sheets.

Responsibilities

Selects cleaning materials and supplies and prepares solutions according to procedure.
Cleans assigned areas by washing furniture, tile, fixtures, and equipment with a germicidal cleaning solution.
Cleans walls, doors, frames, ceilings, vents, windows, and floors; applies floor finish and polishes surfaces.
Operates cleaning equipment (buffers, vacuums, scrubbers) and reports maintenance needs.
Safely handles waste and linens; transports supplies and equipment between areas.
Responds to spills and hazards with proper cleaning and control procedures.
