Job summary

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Corporation is seeking an onsite cleaner to help prevent disease spread by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing areas, disposing of hazardous waste, and sterilizing equipment. The role expects adherence to infection control guidelines and a focus on maintaining a sanitary environment in all hospital spaces.

The position is a site-based role at 100 North Beacon Street in Boston, with a weekly schedule totaling 16 hours and a pay range of $17.71–$22.15 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school education acceptable; experience welcomed.
• 0–1 year related experience preferred.
• Ability to follow infection control guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties per schedules and infection control guidelines.
• Completes waste stream removal.
• Clean and service assigned areas as per procedures.
• Move furniture, equipment and supplies to maintain a neat, safe hospital.
• Operate floor machines and buffers.
• Attend at least eight unit/department meetings annually.
• Maintain patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe and sanitary condition.
