Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain clean, safe patient environments across facilities in New Haven. The position requires a High School diploma or GED and at least six months of customer-service experience.

Training is provided by the Environmental Services Department to ensure competence in all duties. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential, along with read/write ability and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Follow department procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Operate electric tow tractors and scooters safely.
• Report to work on time, complete the time card, in uniform.
• Assist in floor care and waste handling.
• Work as part of the patient care team with respect and flexibility.
• Demonstrate problem solving and teamwork.
