Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, seeks an Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean, safe environment across the Medical Center. You will clean, sanitize, and dispose of waste in accordance with infection control standards, and operate cleaning equipment.

The role is onsite at 789 Central Avenue, 32 hours weekly on evenings (Sun, Mon, Tue, Sat), 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, regular employee type, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 0-1 year related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe application.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning and sanitizing duties per schedules and infection control guidelines.
• Maintains clean, safe, and sanitary patient and non-patient areas.
• Removes and disposes of waste per procedures.
• Cleans and services assigned areas per standards.
• Operates cleaning equipment (floor machines, buffers).
• Attends department/unit meetings (minimum eight per year).
