Johnson Memorial Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking an Environmental Services teammate for a full-time, day-shift role. The 40-hour workweek involves maintaining a clean and sanitary hospital environment and collaborating with hospital staff.

You will perform routine floor care, bedding changes, supply handling, and equipment upkeep using established cleaning procedures and PPE. Prior healthcare cleaning experience is preferred; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and comprehend basic English.
• 3+ months of cleaning experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to use cleaning chemicals safely.
• Floor care experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Receive cleaning assignments and transport cleaning materials and supplies to work areas.
• Clean areas by washing furnishings, tile, fixtures and equipment with germicidal solutions.
• Strip beds with fresh linens after patient dismissal and dispose of refuse.
• Vacuum carpets and mop floors; operate buffing equipment as needed.
• Inspect area after cleaning to ensure cleanliness and neatness.
• Return unused supplies to the utility room and store equipment properly.
• Move furniture and equipment using handcarts or dollies.
• Report equipment needing repair to supervisor.
