Job summary

Trinity Health Chelsea seeks an Environmental Aide to maintain patient and public areas in accordance with hospital standards. You will perform cleaning, disinfecting, linen changes, waste disposal, and assist with safety and infection control across departments. Maintaining safety and sanitation standards is essential to patient care.

Required: High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to speak/read/write English. About three months of cleaning or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; able to speak, read, and write English.
• Three months customer service or cleaning experience preferred.
• Certification/licensure not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient towers, public areas, exam rooms, and offices.
• Cleans and disinfects surfaces; spot cleans carpet/upholstery; cleans spills.
• Changes linen and makes beds; operates vacuum cleaning equipment; disposes of waste.
• Reports needed equipment repair and all unsafe situations; supports safety and infection control.
• Demonstrates a positive demeanor contributing to trust, respect, and teamwork.
