Job summary

Trinity Health Chelsea is seeking an Environmental Aide to maintain clean and safe patient towers, public areas, and exam rooms. You will perform general cleaning, disinfection, waste disposal, linen changes, and operate vacuums in a fast-paced health system.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred), and at least three months of customer service or cleaning experience. This part-time day-shift position offers full benefits, competitive compensation, and growth opportunities

Qualifications

Follow written and verbal instructions.
Effectively communicate with patients, visitors, and co-workers.
Concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
Prioritize assigned tasks and organize work in a fast paced environment.
Walk and stand for approximately 90% of work time.
Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
Lift, turn, push, pull, and position equipment.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient towers, public areas, exam rooms, and offices.
Cleaning all surfaces and disinfecting surfaces.
Spot cleaning carpet and upholstery; cleaning up spills.
Changing linen and making beds; operating vacuum cleaning equipment.
Disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
Reporting needed equipment repair and all unsafe situations.
Demonstrates a positive demeanor contributing to a culture of trust, respect, and teamwork.
Adheres to the Code of Conduct and Mission, Vision and Values; ensures personal and coworker safety.
