Job summary

Trinity Health Chelsea is seeking an Environmental Aide to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment under regulatory standards and infection control policies. You will perform essential cleaning tasks, handle waste disposal, and support a culture of trust and teamwork.

The role requires basic English literacy and a willingness to complete mandatory trainings; prior cleaning or customer service experience is preferred. Growth opportunities are available within the health system.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred; able to speak, read, and write English; possesses basic math skills.
• Experience: Three months customer service or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient towers, public areas, exam rooms, offices, etc.
• Cleaning all surfaces; Disinfecting all surfaces.
• Spot cleaning carpet and upholstery; Cleaning up spills.
• Changing linen and making beds; Operating vacuum cleaning equipment.
• Disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Reporting needed equipment repair and all unsafe situations.
• Demonstrates a positive demeanor contributing to trust, respect, and teamwork.

Required Education, Experience And Certification/Licensure
