Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital - Springfield is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain a clean and safe patient environment within a joint operation with Lifepoint Health. You will clean rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, and corridors daily, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure infection control standards are met.

Responsibilities include trash removal, linen stocking, and reporting hazards, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive employee benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior hospital or healthcare cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows according to daily schedule
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and shine floors; replenish paper and soap products; clean mirrors, sinks, and toilets
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers
• Collect and remove trash from all areas of the facility daily.
• Stock linens throughout the hospital to ensure unit readiness.
• Adhere to all infection control policies and report safety hazards to supervisors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
