Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Hospital housekeeping aide to maintain a clean and safe environment across patient areas, corridors, and facilities. You will shampoo carpets, clean rooms, wash windows, and manage waste and linen with attention to sanitation protocols.

Role requires following established procedures, teamwork, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment. The position offers varied shifts including afternoons and evenings in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instruction and observe safety precautions.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools used in E.S.D. tasks.
• Physical ability to lift, push, and move equipment and waste containers.
• willingness to learn and perform duties safely.

Responsibilities

• Shampoos carpets and refinishes floors per procedures.
• Dusts vents, lights, and washes windows throughout the hospital.
• Cleans sinks, toilets, and lavatories; disposes of rubbish and soiled linen.
• transports linen, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Performs general housekeeping duties and assists with setup as required.
• May perform Housekeeping Aide I duties when needed.
