Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking an Environmental Service Technician to support cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, offices and ancillary areas. You will remove linens and waste, maintain floors and upholstery, and work with teammates to ensure smooth service delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent public service and/or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial experience

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices and ancillary areas per procedures.
• Remove linens and waste streams and stock supplies.
• Perform interim and restorative maintenance to floors, carpets, and upholstery.
• Assemble, maintain, and store equipment and supplies as needed.
• Communicate and collaborate with team to ensure continuity of services.
• Report maintenance and cleaning needs in the work area.
• Assist visitors and employees in navigating the hospital.
• Work within one cleaning area and cover other sites as needed.
