Job summary

Medxcel in Jackson, MI is seeking a licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician to join the Facilities team at Henry Ford Hospital on 1st shift. You’ll identify system failures, perform preventive maintenance, and lead safety and compliance practices across multiple sites.

You will coordinate energy systems, respond to after-hours safety concerns, train junior electricians, and participate in special projects while adhering to PPE and relevant codes (NFPA, NEC, TJC).

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Master Electrician license is required.

Responsibilities

• Identifies system failures to determine repair needs and recommends long-term electrical strategies.
• Develops and performs preventative maintenance schedules in alignment with NFPA, NEC, and TJC codes.
• Outlines emergency procedures for power outages, responds to after-hours safety concerns, maintains vehicles and tools, and follows PPE/safety precautions.
• Manages energy systems, communicates work order statuses across sites as required.
• Leads and assists with special projects, provides training and support to lower-level electricians.
