Job summary

The Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Boston is seeking an Electrician II to join the facilities department. You will respond to work orders, perform tests, and maintain electrical systems to ensure patient and staff safety.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of state/local electrical codes and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and outlines.
• Hold a current Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Electrician license; experience in healthcare is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Tests, repairs, installs and maintains electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoots electrical problems using schematics and testing equipment.
• Maintains inventory and coordinates with vendors for materials.
• Inspects work of external contractors for safety and code compliance.
• Performs related duties including emergency power procedures and on-the-job training.
