Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks an experienced Electrician to repair, maintain and install electrical systems on a full-time day shift. The role requires a 4-year electrical apprenticeship, a Journeyperson license, and at least five years of electrician experience in healthcare settings.

You will work on hospital electrical systems, read prints, and ensure compliance with NFPA/NEC codes while prioritizing safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a 4-year electrical apprenticeship program required.
• Minimum of 5 years electrician experience required.
• Healthcare facility setting experience preferred.
• Current Journeyperson Electrical License in the state of employment required.
• Ability to read and understand electrical system prints related to the facility.
• Must read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains and repairs all Hospital electrical systems and equipment.
• Maintains, repairs, and installs new electrical equipment according to NFPA, NEC and local electrical codes.
• Performs electrical construction and/or maintenance work in accordance with national, state and local codes on single and three phase electrical equipment/systems.
• Examines and tests elements of systems such as distribution panels, controls, circuit breakers and motors to locate faults.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs, and tests electrical circuits and equipment as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
