Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in healthcare.
• State licensed electrician is required.
• EPA 608 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment per hospital codes.
• Ensure proper functioning of emergency power systems, including generators and UPS.
• Install and maintain lighting, HVAC systems, and electrical panels throughout the facility.
• Conduct regular inspections and perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, diagnose malfunctions, and perform timely repairs.
• Test electrical systems and circuits for proper operation and safety.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and hospital safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with facilities team to address emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Provide guidance and training to staff regarding electrical safety protocols when needed.
• Respond to electrical emergencies and outages swiftly to minimize downtime.
