Job summary

Medxcel is seeking a qualified Electrician to diagnose, install, and maintain electrical systems at Henry Ford Main Hospital in Detroit. The role requires compliance with NFPA, NEC, and TJC standards and includes proactive maintenance and documentation updates.

The position features full-time hours on 1st/2nd shifts in Facilities, with a $2500 sign-on bonus and benefits including health coverage and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician License is required.
• High School diploma is required.
• Graduate of trade school.
• 3 years of related experience with licensure.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, installs, and maintains electrical systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA, NEC, and TJC standards.
• Develops and executes preventive maintenance programs, including scheduling, reporting, and updating system documentation and training materials.
• Responds to emergency situations and power outages, ensuring safe resolution and operating continuity.
• Identifies and recommends long-term system improvements and cost-saving strategies, including energy management support.
• Communicates work status and technical guidance to stakeholders, while maintaining tools and readiness to support multi-site operations.
• Leads or contributes to special projects and staff training initiatives.
