Job summary

The Dish Room position at St. Bernards Healthcare will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and carts used for both retail and room service operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and follow verbal instructions.
• Basic arithmetic skills required.
• One year experience in customer service or food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and carts for retail and room service.
• Retrieve soiled trays from patient units and sanitize the kitchen daily.
• Follow sanitation checklists to ensure all areas are cleaned weekly.
• Maintain floors, walls, equipment and space in the dish room.
• Operate the dish machine per specifications and monitor temperatures.
• Deliver food carts as needed and return dirty carts to the kitchen hourly.
• Sweep and mop the department as instructed and manage trash/recyclables.
