Job summary

MercyOne is seeking a part-time Dietary Services team member to support House of Mercy in Des Moines. You will assist in food preparation, meals service, and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen under daily supervision.

The role requires basic English proficiency and a high school diploma or equivalent; prior food service experience is a plus. You will work rotating shifts in a hospital kitchen environment with opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior food service or dietary aide experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food as directed and assists the Chef in food preparation.
• Assists in serving evening meals.
• Cleans and sanitizes food prep area and equipment.
• Assists with dishwashing and scullery tasks.
• Leaves the scullery pre-set for the next morning.
• Attends meetings and training as required.
