Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous work-related experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices required.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all food safety and physical safety guidelines.
• Ensure sharps are counted and locked in partnership with Dietary Leadership.
• Adhere to all kitchen, dining room and HACCP procedures.
• Prep meals as assigned and serve patients, staff and guests.
• Stock shelves and manage serving areas to keep lines clean and stocked.
• Set up tables and dining areas and rotate foods according to safety standards.
• Maintain a clean work area following infection control procedures.
• Communicate with Dietary leadership when stock runs low and request items as needed.
