Job summary

Beacon Children's Hospital is seeking a PRN Dietary Aide/Cook to support meal preparation and service in our hospital kitchen. You will follow dietary guidelines, prepare meals, and help maintain a clean, safe food service area.

The position requires prior food industry experience, knowledge of safety standards, and strong teamwork. Shifts include 12-hour day shifts with rotating weekends, and a pay rate starting at $11 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a kitchen or culinary setting.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines and recipes.
• Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Monitor food quality and presentation.
• Collaborate with dietary aides to ensure efficient meal service.
• Assist with menu planning and recipe development.
• Maintain inventory of food supplies and equipment.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
