Hendricks Behavioral Hospital in Indiana is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation, salad and dessert bars, tray assembly, and dining room upkeep. You will help maintain cleanliness, follow sanitation guidelines, and support the kitchen team in daily operations.

Qualified candidates typically have prior food service experience, basic sanitation knowledge, and flexibility for overtime.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service is preferred or required.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation practices is required.
• Crisis prevention/management training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Obtain tray counts by unit for each meal and assist the cook.
• Set up salad bar and prepare vegetables, salads and bar items neatly.
• Set up the dessert bar.
• Keep salad bar appealing and well-presented.
• Wash dishes and maintain the dish room in a clean state.
• Apply portion control guidelines when preparing food.
• Maintain dining room and prep area cleanliness at all times.
