Northwell is seeking a food service worker to assist with the preparation, packaging and serving of meals to patients and cafeteria customers within a hospital setting. You will handle food according to guidelines, operate kitchen equipment and maintain clean work areas.

Shifts can vary, including 3p-7:30p, with holidays and weekends as needed. Prior institutional food service experience is preferred, and English communication is required to follow instructions and ensure safe, sanitary service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior institutional food service experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.

Responsabilités

• Prepares, packages, portions and serves food to patients or cafeteria customers.
• Transports food and supplies within hospital or cafeteria.
• Operates machines used in food preparation and sanitation.
• Maintains cleanliness of the work area.
• Performs environmental service duties (e.g garbage removal).
• Performs related duties as required.
