Job summary

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) – Oregon State Hospital Environmental Services Department is recruiting Custodians. Join a team dedicated to a clean, healthy, therapeutic environment for patients and staff, with a 10% pay differential above base pay.

This on-site role in Salem, Oregon supports safety, sanitation and facility upkeep. Minimum qualifications include being at least 18 years old and 6 months custodial experience with equipment operation, plus the ability to handle heavy cleaning

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum 6 months of custodial experience that included operating equipment.
• Ability to push/pull heavy custodial equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect all substances, spills and accidents.
• Dispose of bio-hazard waste and sharps per procedures.
• Disinfect patient wards during outbreaks and maintain floors and surfaces.
