Job summary

The Oregon Health Authority and Oregon State Hospital Environmental Services are recruiting Custodians in Salem. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff by meeting agency cleanliness standards and performing routine custodial duties.

Responsibilities include disinfecting spaces, handling waste, maintaining floors, and prepping areas for renovations as needed. A 10% pay differential applies to base pay.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum 6 months of custodial experience.
• Ability to push/pull heavy equipment and stand for extended periods (90% of shift).

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect all substances, spills and accidents.
• Pick up and deliver bio-hazard waste and sharps to designated area.
• Disinfect patient wards during infectious disease outbreaks.
• Sweep, dust, mop, and buff hard surfaces.
• Vacuum and spot clean carpets and remove trash.
• Scrub, rinse and refinish floors; clean carpets and upholstered furniture.
• Clean and maintain custodial equipment.
• Prep floors and walls for remodel/renovation projects.
