Job summary

St. Davids Medical Center is seeking a Cook PRN to produce high-quality meals following the menu and safety standards. The role emphasizes HACCP-based practices, proper temperature checks, and timely preparation for patient trays, cafe, and special events.

You will coordinate with the Food Production Manager, requisition items, ensure leftovers are used appropriately, and participate in department meetings and safety training as required.

Qualifications

• Requires Food Handler Certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior kitchen experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Produces food according to the menu in the required quantities and quality.
• Adheres to HACCP-based food safety procedures and checks temperatures.
• Requisitions food items per established procedures and checks recipes daily.
• Communicates daily with the Food Production Manager and supports tray line and cafe needs.
• Maintains proper cleanliness and sanitization of all equipment and work areas.
