Job summary

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in culinary/kitchen and/or food handler’s certification or 1 year of experience in institutional and batch cooking in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Uses standardized recipes to prepare menu items for patients, cafeteria, and special functions.
• Maintains proper temperature when inspecting, handling, preparing, serving, and storing all items.
• Covers, labels, and dates leftovers; uses proper waste disposal methods.
• Keeps accurate records of item usage and remaining inventory.
• Complies with infection control, safety, Department of Public Health, and OSHA procedures and regulations.
