Job summary

Qualifications

• One or more years of work experience in production cooking.
• Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills and be able to perform tasks within limited time frames.
• Must follow production and cleaning schedules and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks hot and cold food items using standardized recipes.
• May work in the retail cafe grill area or cook breakfast items.
• Records over production and run outs; writes directions and calculates quantities.
• Checks and logs food temperatures and reports problems.
• Maintains par levels and restocks items; rotates stock with freshness dates.
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly; supports other kitchen staff as needed.
• May oversee scheduled shift for efficiency and interact with customers in grill or retail units.
