Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking an experienced Cook to join the Food Services team at Women’s & Babies Hospital in Lancaster, PA. You will prepare a variety of meals, follow standardized recipes, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met for patient service.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years hot food production experience.
Minimum 1 year cold food preparation experience.
Minimum 1 year of volume cooking experience.
Preferred culinary school diploma.
Two+ years large-volume food production experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook vegetables, entrées, breakfast items, sandwiches, soups and related items.
Follow standardized recipes with high accuracy and consistency.
Monitor food quality, taste, texture, appearance and temperature during prep and service.
Set up tray line stations and portion food items.
Train and support new staff as needed.
Maintain inventory, place orders and verify invoices.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and HACCP.
