Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a full-time Cook at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. The role prepares meals in accordance with federal, state and corporate standards, supports daily kitchen operations, and ensures food quality and safety for patients, staff and visitors.

We offer a $20.00 per hour pay rate, open-to-all schedules with Monday–Friday rotation and weekends as needed. Benefits include uniforms, meals, free onsite parking, and employee referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• 2 years of previous professional culinary experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting standards and ensuring temperature and presentation.
• Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records from area worked.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; stores food and supplies per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment and assists in ordering/receiving of food and supplies.
