Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, part of Compass Group, is hiring for full-time COOK positions at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, MO. Open availability is required with days and hours varying. A minimum of one year cooking experience is required, and pay ranges from $15.50 to $20.00 per hour.

As a Cook, you will prepare meals to standards, maintain cleanliness, follow HACCP guidelines, and work closely with the team to nourish patients and staff in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• At least one year of previous cooking experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring temperature and appearance.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Maintains refrigerators and storerooms, stores or discards excess food per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, records keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
