Job summary

Morrison Healthcare at Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC is hiring a full-time Cook. Schedule is Monday–Friday with rotating weekends; pay range is $16.00–$18.50 per hour. Previous kitchen experience is preferred.

You will prepare high-quality meals, ensure correct portions and temperatures, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment following HACCP standards. This role supports hospital dining operations and patient meals.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking/kitchen experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and temperatures, ensuring food is attractive and tasty.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper storage, and adheres to safe food-handling procedures.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed and assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies.
