Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. You will prepare a variety of hot and cold items for meals and events, follow recipes, maintain food safety, and keep a clean workstation in a fast-paced kitchen.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 0–2 years of kitchen experience, and the ability to stand long hours. Workdays include mornings and some evenings, with weekends/holidays possible.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current standards to ensure high-quality food service.
• Follow recipes and product directions for cooking and serving foods.
• Estimate food requirements and check production to plan supplies.
• Significant walking or other mobility.
• Walk/stand for extended periods during shift.
• Lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
• Perform repetitive motions.
• Attend work on time for scheduled shifts.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
