199 Aurora Psychiatric Hospital, Inc. is seeking a full-time Food Service Cook in the Food and Nutrition department. The role requires careful preparation of daily menus, adherence to recipes, and proper safety and sanitation practices.

The position involves 40 hours per week, with 1030am-7pm shifts, every other weekend, and 3 holidays per year, within a hospital setting. Responsibilities include ensuring quality production, maintaining logs, and managing inventory while adapting to diet

Qualifications

• Familiarity with diet restrictions and ability to adapt recipes accordingly.
• Ability to measure and scale ingredients used in a recipe.
• Proficient time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviews production sheets and recipes to ensure quality and quantity needed for items to prepare.
• Prepares food on daily production report according to established guidelines.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Monitors food temperatures and utilizes established procedures to ensure safe food handling techniques and prevent bacteria contamination.
• Follows department standards for safe food handling, storage and sanitation.
