Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration with finance/accounting.
• MBA preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• 5 years’ experience as Controller or Assistant Controller in larger hospital.

Responsibilities

• Prepare audit schedules for independent auditors in a timely fashion.
• Prepare the federal and state tax returns for hospital entities.
• Demonstrates leadership and applies guest relation standards in interdepartmental activities.
• Provides analysis of income, expenditures and capital asset values with comparisons to prior periods.
• Make recommendations to reduce operating costs and increase revenue.
• Plan, direct, supervise and coordinate accounting functions.
• Evaluate procedures to improve methods of reducing costs of accounting operations.
• Prepare annual operating and capital budgets.
• Participate in required education for program curricula.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration with specialization in finance and/or Accounting

Master’s degree in business administration (MBA)

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
