Job summary

CyberCoders, Inc. seeks an experienced Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to lead safety on construction projects with emphasis on hospital and OSHPD-regulated work in California.

The SSHO will implement and enforce the project Safety and Health Plan (SSHP) and ensure OSHA/OSHPD compliance on site. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in construction safety.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required; CHST/CSP a plus.
• OSHPD requirements knowledge and healthcare facility project experience.
• Experience preparing Site Safety and Health Plans (SSHP), JHAs and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Site Safety and Health Plan (SSHP) tailored to hospital/OSHPD requirements.
• Perform daily site inspections and hazard assessments; identify corrective actions and ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and OSHPD regulations; serve as primary contact for OSHPD inspections.
• Conduct JHAs, toolbox talks, and daily safety briefings; maintain training/attendance records.
• Investigate incidents; document, report and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with hospital infection control and clinical staff to minimize patient impact during construction.
• Monitor contractor safety performance; enforce site safety rules and stop-work as needed.
• Manage PPE programs, fall protection, confined spaces, hazardous materials handling.
