Qualifications

• CNA certificate registered with the State of Illinois or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification or obtainment within 6 months of hiring with recertification preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills for documentation in electronic health records (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, intake/output, and toileting.
• Monitor and record vital signs and document in the EHR.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling.
• Observe patient conditions and report changes to nursing staff.
• Collect specimens as directed and adhere to infection control procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment; support equipment setup and usage.
