Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services across the Medical Center. The role includes verifying orders, ensuring accurate dispensing, and communicating with clinicians to optimize therapy while maintaining high safety standards.

The pharmacist will work with chemotherapy formulations, IV admixtures, and various drug therapies, supervising technicians and ensuring compliance with policy and procedures.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with active license (IDFPR)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
• Knowledge of chemotherapy agents and IV admixture helpful

Responsibilities

• Check all medications leaving the department for quality assurance.
• Dispense medications from physician orders and ensure accurate entry into the system.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding orders, drug interactions and dosing questions.
• Oversee technicians operating the Omnicell system and ensure proper dosing and labeling.
• Monitor for adverse drug reactions and participate in pharmacokinetic dosing as needed.
