Job summary

Qualifications

• Tenth grade education or equivalent. High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Previous healthcare and / or institutional Environmental Service experience preferred.
• Prior experience with specialized floor cleaning equipment preferred.
• Must read and write and follow written and oral directions.
• Must communicate clearly with other members of the healthcare team, customers, and guests.
• Requires judgment and alertness; ability to organize time, prioritize, and concentrate.

Responsibilities

• Keeps assigned areas clean and sanitary using cleaning methods and disinfectants.
• Operates floor machines for cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing and carpet care.
• Follows schedules, sets priorities, and completes work orders.
• Trains new staff as needed and maintains supplies and paperwork.
• Handles preceptor code entry and interchanges with staff as posted on schedule.
